Okay, so, I recently had to install perl and all the modules required by veekun, and I realized something: it is a real pain.

For one, some of the modules do not even install properly; some of them need you to use PPM instead of CPAN (and vice versa); some require you to use force install. All of these involve a lot of trial and error, which is quite ridiculous.

The goal of this script would be such: once the user has installed perl, they run the script. It then automatically installs all of the modules required by veekun, and then runs the mysql client and inserts the most recent database dump (possibly). This would just make it easier for whoever is trying to get it up and running quickly. It also makes it a lot better for me, since I have quite a few systems that are still lacking in Catalyst.

This is mostly relevant to people on win32; however, the script would also run under *nix and just install the most recent version of every module needed from CPAN.

Explain this to me in hacker terms or codes. That is what I can understand.
