I can increase the scale if you want. It's just, anything above log base 2 seems to... well, you can fiddle with the values if you want, it's not exactly difficult. I spent a long time trying and this seemed to be the best one. :( Perhaps you can find a better ratio.

I will come up with something super-awesome, by which I mean I will fix two or three points and then spend hours on some epic regression maneuver.

Uhm. They're bars that represent POST COUNT. Any effort in them is not worth it. But, actually, that sounds like a not half bad idea. Or give the bar different colors for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc?

I agree with the above. But do you really need to give people MORE incentive to flood the forums with pointless crap?

Logarithmically scaled postbars give a sense of accomplishment to low post counts, but as you go up in post count, the bar increases slower - with the current formula, it takes over 100 million posts to fill it (actually, I set it up so it will always be at 97.5%, regardless of the number of posts). If you have a graphing calculator around, graph "log(x)/log(2)" to get an idea. 300 posts isn't that far in the post bar, is what I'm saying, As for convincing people to spam more, ehh... once the figure out they can't get epenis from having a large post bar, it shouldn't be much of a worry.. but at first, they might see that the post bar moves quickly and they might scramble to get a bunch of posts to make it big. Ohwell.
