Chimecho was pretty much a failure as a pokemon. In-game, it was completely outmatched by a dozen other psychic pokes in terms of raw power, and didn't really have any interesting or unique move options to appeal to the more creative battlers. Add to that the fact that it was kind of hard to catch in the carts, and you had a pokemon that saw virtually no play. Outside the games, Chimecho was even more of a loser. It appeared on almost no merchandise or advertising. It had a brief stint as a minor recurring character whose existence hinged on a boring gimmick that was tired after one and a half times seeing it.

So, what do they give us in DP?

I don't understand what the point of making a baby form of a pokemon that's actually LESS cute than the base form. Was there really a demand from the public for this piece of crap? I understand that this is a franchise based on selling stuff, and to some extent I can see the benefit of making pokemon whose whole purpose is to move merchandise. I can forgive pokemon like Pichu, Azurill, and Mime Jr. even if don't personally like them. But Chingling? What a complete waste of a slot.

They gave Chimecho a baby form because we didn't have enough Pokemon that evolve through HAPPYNESS, especially in the Sinnoh dex. God. It drives me insane. "Waste 30 minutes of your life walking back and forth on this route and EVENTUALLY it will evolve!"

Also I can't forgive Mime Jr. Mostly because there's no Jynx Jr.

I agree with both Pumaman and Latiass. I never understood the need for a baby form of a Pokémon that was generally useless (well, not useless, just not as good as others of its type). I also don't understand with they didn't give Jynx an extended evolution to go with Magmar and Electabuzz, as it would've rounded out a nice trio.

I know that's going off topic, but it did kind of annoy me.

Pokémon I don't really like:

Zubat, Tentacool, Feebas (seriously, who came up with the method of catching/evolving Feebas!?).

Tentacool are annoying. They are everywhere in the oceans.

Yeah, Zubat, Tentacool, etc.

Jynx is ugly.
