well....very good points...with the rain dance, you would have to wait the turn, allowing pidgoet to hit with u-turn switching(im guessing here) to dragonite... allowing you to bring in the onslaught of physical atk moves.. starmie most likely would have died with u-turn...so your other 2 pkmn would have no chance against dragonite.. weavile might have a speed and atk advantage, but that just leaves 2 other pkmn to come in and beat yours....very nice and thought out dusknoir :D

That all depends on if U-turn kills Starmie, TR. Also, I would be expecting a switch, and would use Ice Beam to cripple his pokemon instead of using rain dance. It's not like I would AUTOMATICALLY use rain dance at the start of a battle!

u also got remember that most likely, ice beam would not kill dragonite in 1 hit, thats IF starmie didnt go BLEH....but dusknoir still got my side on this :P

Also I realize the main weakness in that team, but I wouldn't really put up my real team(s) that would be used in the tournament. I was just hoping to get some help with that one. That is my hit hard and get lucky team.

Sorry to hear that man - I was looking forward to a challenge. I always love competition, but can never get anyone to battle, 'cause they don't play pokemon. Besides, I really wanted to see this "Ultimate Team" for myself, to see if it really is as good as you say.

Obviously, I didn't think the first 3 pokemon were that way, but maybe the last 3 were perfect counters to those that you listed. This way, I would've come up with a team just for the first 3, and be totally unprepared for the last ones. I'm guessing that Aerodactyl is in your team, from the posts you made. Still an easy counter - using a bulky pokemon for defense, like Swampert, surviving all your attacks, and easily wiping you out with waterfall.

Scizor, while not resisting Aerodactyl's attacks, packs reasonable defense and can dispatch Aerodactyl swiftly with its Bullet Punch, as long as it stays away from Aerodactyl's Fire-type attacks.

While it is not a direct counter, Stealth Rock will greatly cut Aerodactyl's lifespan, limiting its potential switch-in opportunities yet further.

Hehe, the one thing you never do before a battle is antisipate. Pick your best and don't worry about the opponents team, variable change is huge, I might say that im walking in with an Aerodactyl and then pull out an Electivire, the truth is you have absolutely no way of knowing. The only reason im telling you this before the tourney is becuase i really don't want to give you extra work. Take a lesson from somone who has tried it, don't make your team based on someone elses just put your team together and let it run. What i have just done is made you show me your hand, THAT is why my team is unbeatable, not becuase they are good but becuase i always know what is coming...pretty cool trick huh?

I understand. I just got carried away. I already have a team set, and am not changing it. Whatever I say here has nothing to do with this team - it has been beaten, but only once, because my touch screen on my old DS always screwed up. This team has been around since I got diamond, and has only changed a little.

We could sit here and type away, making counters for each of our opponent's counters, and go on forever. However, none of it really matters - each of us just have to make our own teams, and hope for the best. It doesn't matter if you have aerodactyl or electrode, or both - whatever you choose is what I'll go up against, regardless of previous knowledge. I do have to say, though - telling your team to the enemy, having them tell you their counter team, and coming in with a counter of your own... Interesting.
