Here they are

Translated with bablefish.
Translated by google.

Yeah, no actual information except proof they exist and some sounds that could be transliterated as heart gold and soul silver. But still. I want to smash Team Rocket with Lance by my side spamming hyperbeam.

HAATO GOORUDO
SOORU SHIRUBAA

I am actually interested for once; possibly moreso than I was in D/P in the first place. Johto was great.

This will also continue the trend of having Kanto show up in every single generation. (Okay unless they cut it but that would be a pretty dick move.)

This has got to be the best move they could have done in the next game of the series:
1)Less need to come up with another region and pokemon -.-.
2)Sales as G/S were incredible games and will be popular.
3)A DS Kanto and Johto? : D What more can I say.

OK, I'd like to see them carry this through though, and maybe work on bigger carts so that they can squeeze all four regions into one game ^_^, that would be one hell of an achievement if they did that ^_^. But yes, definetly hurry for G/S remake ^_^.

I would be giddy if they had all 3 regions not in D/P in it. And connected.

I am dumb! It's Souru, not Sooru.

I think Hoenn would be pushing it; just spruce up Kanto beyond the quick filler it seemed to be in G/S and I'll be happy. Hoenn wasn't really memorable for me and would start to feel like dragging the game out for the hell of it.

I believe the games are Duskgold and Dawnsilver. From what I heard, both those names were taken by Nintendo, and this is most likely why. We will just have to wait until the tenth.
And as far as I know, these will have the same storyline as the original, including the part with kanto. This next piece is unconfirmed, but they may have events were you can get the three original starters all at once. Again, that part is just a rumor.

Also, for the record, if any of this is wrong, don't blame me. I just looked it up on google, so it's probably not true, but thought I might post it anyway...

No, they are Heart Gold and Soul Silver. This is on the official Japanese site, as linked in the OP.

Well even so, the possibility of bigger pokemon games = more gameplay = longer life ^_^. I would still like to see it happen, even as a seperate remake :P.

So heart gold and soul silver...

Then why have I heard that dawnsilver and duskgold are trademarked by nintendo? I'm going to assume that's a lie.

Not a lie. Nintendo likes to cover its bases. They took up Pokemon Opal before Platinum was up and linked www.pokemonopal.com to Pokemon.com.
Sarcasm is a virtue.

@ Eevee:
As far as the romanization goes, I prefer SOURU, because it matches the actual Japanese characters closer, from what little Japanese I know. In talking to a native speaker in a class I once took, I've seen both "OU" and "OO" used for that particular sound cluster.

However, as I said I prefer "OU". Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember seeing somewhere on this site that you don't subscribe to any particular set of romanization rules. From what I've seen in the Pokedex, your style of romanization seems to be pretty close to mine, though I mostly dabble.

I do know enough to know that I don't really like Hepburn Romanization. Still, you likely know way more Japanese than I'll ever know, so I'd better stop talking now before I show my ignorance (if I haven't already).

It would be stupid to make ANOTHER region. Personally I think 493 is more than enough. As a player it is hard to work with so many pokemon. In fact, some are replicates of others
for example zangoose is a pretty close copy of ursaring. The bug copies are really annoying, too (wurmple, caterpie)
I am happy they are finally remaking the jhoto region. Gold was my very first gameboy game, and I think Jhoto is the best (plus i can't find my Gold!!) I do hope they make it more of a challenge. Lance's highest level was only 50!
I kind of decided my in-game team:
typhlosion, gengar, shuckle, misdreavus (or mismagius if I can) piloswine (or mamoswine) and the last will be a wild card, like whatever is offered.
Ghost E4 member, battles against me will be 5-5 and set at lv 100 at the bottom floor of a pokemon center

ailuros: Yeah, my mistake, it's Souru. I don't like Hepburn either; I guess it's okay for presenting Japanese words to people who only speak English, but I'm far more interested in knowing what the word actually is.

In the video promoted for the game, chikorita was following the character around. Does this mean they will bring back the "tag-along pikachu" in this game as well? And if so, is it limited to only the starting pokemon? Or can you choose any pokemon and have that one follow you around? Also, the wind gusts - will they be there for only effect, or will they have another purpose?

With the new game titles I'm wondering if Nintendo is saying that Gold and Silver were the Heart and Soul of the pokemon series, or if the're saying their going to put their Heart and Soul into these remakes, or if they're saying that Pokemon is the Heart and Soul of Nintendo, or if I'm reading too much into things.

In my opinion, Gold and Silver ARE the heart and soul of the pokemon franchise. Most people started playing pokemon when these 2 came out, and if I'm correct, they were also the most sold pokemon game in the history of the franchise, except for crystal, probably. Even to this day, I know a lot of people who bought red/blue/yellow and sold it, but almost no one who bought gold/silver/crystal and sold it. So ShinyMew, you may be spot-on with your last post. It makes perfect sense to me. Gold and Silver are the heart and soul of the franchise.

I've done some research, and for the pokemon following you around - so far, only your starter pokemon will follow you. As of the information I have now, no other pokemon can follow you.

Take a look at the right side of Elm's Lab - This is kind of obvious, but the underground appears to be in these games as well. However, will they look the same as sinnoh's, will they be able to use wifi with the sinnoh games, and if they can, will they unlock special items in both of the games undergrounds?
