Charmander was my favourite from Red/Blue, Totodile from Gold/Silver, Mudkip from Ruby/Sapphire (yes, I liek Mudkipz) and Chimchar from Diamond/Pearl. It would seem there is no room in my heart for Grass types.

Same for Fire-types for me. I just don't like them except for Cyndaquil.

Johto: Totodile or Cyndaquil
Hoenn: Mudkip or Treecko
Sinnoh: Turtwig or Empoleon
For the most part, I just don't like Fire types. I put in my second choices as well (obviously)
Charizard was obcenely weak to Rock, wich has always been a very common type, and could never beat the first two gym leaders in Kanto, Torchic-Blaziken just seemed less useful over all, even if he kicks the Steel-Type champion's butt. And Infernape just seems to be more of the same.

Does everyone use their starter throughout the whole game i dont sometimes in yellow and Crystal i didnt

Charizard's actually THE worst fire starter. :P Typhlosion all the way when it comes to fire.

Well, Charizard's the only starter that can learn Fly. he is pretty weak against rock tho. I just use him for Cut, Fly and Defog in my Platinum game.

Typhlosion's basically Charizard with 2 less Dragon attacks and only a x2 to Rock. Seriously, they have the same stats.

Mudkip/Marshstomp/Swampert just come out to me! When I went to the Battle Frontier in Emerald, I beat every single place using Swampert!

Swampert's a really good starter. Very tanky, powerful, got good moves...

I love the Bulbasaur line, though I have a soft spot for Charmander (I despise Charizard). Quilava's my favorite Pokemon of all time, though Feraligatr gets a shout out. Grovyle > everything but Quilava. I love Torterra, but I hate Grotle and Turtwig. I love Chimchar, but I hate Monferno and Infernape... you see my issue here?

All water-types, other than Feraligatr and Wartortle are fail.

Quilava's also a cool pokemon.
I don't like the Chikorita line(mainly because of the stereotypical gender distribution of starters, despite the name)
