Small Inaccuracy with Timer Balls?
I'm under the impression that they ramp up their catch rate MUCH faster from Gen V+.
The change actually came in B/W; they do indeed power up three times as fast now and max out after ten turns. The Poké Ball gadget is still Gen III-IV only; Gen V's formula is completely different and Gen VI looks like it changed formulas too.
