Anyone play Kingdom of Loathing? Or other online games? I mean, umm...

I think Kingdom of Loathing is enjoyable to those who like the strategy of pokemon, there are few stats but they interact in complex ways, and you can build stronger.

Well, it's not an RPG, but there're some amazing strategy possibilities:

"Dominion" is a card game that has a free browser implementation at dominion.isotropic.org. It's a deck-building game where each player starts each game with a small, basic deck and buys cards to add to the deck (so it's not unbalanced like Magic: The Gathering).

There are just a few gameplay mechanics (money, buys, actions, draws) but the variety of cards that can be bought and the possible interactions between the cards create opportunity for some really neat emergent strategies. It can be quite cerebral.

I suck at dominion, so if you want to play someone who won't murder you instantly, look up "friedbrice" in the Great Hall.

Yeah, it's great! You get to avoid the constant shuffling.
